We've all seen where Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter claim they'd vote for Hillary Clinton before they'd vote for presumptive GOP Presidential nominee John McCain. We snigger, we laugh, we point with glee at the virtual train wreck that is today's Republican Party.
Yeah, well, take a look around. There are plenty of Democratic asshats using up valuable oxygen. And though they may not have a prominent celebrity spokesman like Limbaugh or Coulter - they're far more numerous than you'd imagine and they can be found everywhere. Let's look around the web to find some examples ...
Hey, guess what? We don't have to look very far ... there are plenty of Democratic equivalents to Limbaugh and Coulter right here on DailyKos. I'm not going to go searching this site to show you multiple examples, but here's one comment:
Nope, no way i'm voting for Hillary
in the general.
Best of luck if she's the nominee!

You notice that I gave you a 'twofer' - comment plus recommendation. Trust me, there are dozens if not hundreds voicing a similar sentiment on this site. These people favor the same irrational logic as Limbaugh and Coulter. To twist an old adage on it's head - none of a loaf is better than half.
Frankly, if I'm ever found to be thinking like Limbaugh or Coulter I want to be euthanized as soon as possible.
It's an unscientific sampling, but a recent DailyKos poll had more than 40% of the respondents indicating they would probably or definitely not vote for the Democratic nominee if their candidate didn't get the party nomination.
It's not just here on DailyKos or the web in general. Exit polls show that a significant portion of Democratic primary voters could sit this one out if their preferred candidate doesn't win. In South Carolina that number could be as high as 20 to 25%:
... eight in 10 overall said they would be satisfied if Obama were the nominee, while about three-quarters said the same about Clinton.
I couldn't find a link for the Tsunami Tuesday exit polls, but my recollection has 71% of Democrats indicating they were satisfied with both candidates. That means 30% wouldn't be satisfied - and could potentially sit out the election or even vote for the other side.
I'm sorry, but I think you're all brain damaged.
Neither Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton is my ideal candidate. But the stakes are too high in too many areas to just flippantly or peevishly let the Republicans hold the White House for 4 more years. Do we want them appointing more Supreme Court justices, continuing their militaristic foreign policies, and generally turning the U.S. Constitution into an archaic remnant of history?
"Best of luck if she's the nominee!"
"Best of luck if he's the nominee!"
My guess is we've already run out of luck because we have so many Democrats with that attitude - regardless of who the nominee is.
